![]() ![]() The irregular casting was not a good place for a magnetic base to stick to. I did not want a magnetic base because I feared it would not stay put with the vibration of normal operations. And there is less heat from all three LED lamps than from that OEM bulb. All three LED bulbs draw less current than the original incandescent bulb so there is no problem with the current in the original, front panel light switch. ![]() It is wired in parallel with the internal lamp socket so all three lamps come on at the same time. It is hiding behind the column in the photo so you can not see it. I added a duplex outlet in a steel box on that white tool shelf that is fastened to the column. Even with my hands in there, there are never any noticeable shadows. ![]() The three together give absolutely excellent illumination that comes from three different directions. I also put a screw in LED bulb in the original lamp socket in the head casting. They are clamp-ons and I drilled two holes in each clamp to use two wood screws to fasten them to those white, shelf board supports that I added to the bottom pulley cover. ![]() I found two goose-neck style LED lights at the local home supply store for my floor stand DP. ![]()
